Seminar: Schorghofer

March 30, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Title: Ceres, Ice, and the DAWN mission

Speaker: Norbert Schorghofer, University of Hawaii

Abstract:
Ceres is an ice-rich dwarf planet. The DAWN spacecraft has entered orbit around Ceres, and this talk will review the internal structure and putative ice and exosphere of Ceres. I will make specific predictions about the depth-to-ice, a topic that, incidentally, has a long history at the University of Hawaii.
